AND MEETINGS WITH THE TURKISH AND KURDISH REVOLUTIONARY AND OPPOSITION LEFTIST LEADERS
IN BEIRUT, PARIS, AND DAMASCUS
1980- 1982
HAMO MOSKOFIAN

From the first day of the Kenan Evrenist Military Junta Coup D’Etat in Turkey, massive arrests, torture, court marshals, assassination, hangings, and every sort of horrible dictatorial practices were used to eliminate the democratic society and movements by Ankara. More than 150,000 citizens were arrested and thrown in the prison cells of the horrible Mamak and others. Thousands of revolutionaries, leftist- progressive leaders, and militants escaped to the neighboring countries of the Middle East and Europe.
We had the historical opportunity to meet and get acquainted with the leaders and members of some legendary organizations, political parties of Turkey, who, beginning from the 1970s had struggled with the continuous dictatorships and police states of Turkey, to establish democracy and justice to face the black history since Sultan Abdul Hamid, «Etihad ve Terakki», Ataturk and arriving to Kenan Evren. After Genocide, deporting, “Turkifying” the Armenians, Syriacs, Kurds, Zazas, and other “minorities”, the turn had come to the elites of the Turkish nation itself! Every prominent intellectual, political oppositional leader or militant, even journalist and writers were eliminated physically, terrorized deported in the so-called Turkiye Cumhuriyeti! Even such inhumane policies and practices did not frighten the brave revolutionaries and freedom fighters of the Turkish Republic, who “answered” the fierce squads of the secret police and their informers with brave revolutionary acts. Turkey turned to be the battleground of the leftist- Marxists revolutionary parties and movements against the fascist-pan-turanist “grey wolves” of the regime when thousands of people were injured or killed or imprisoned. The peak of these events was the 1980 Kenan Evren fascist dictatorship and their horrific crimes for which they were never punished generalissimo Evren himself died comfortably in his bed never apologizing or regretting the massacres his Junta committed and shamelessly presented it in color on the pages of the Turkish mass media between 1980 – 1985!
Turk communist partisi Leninciler “Iscinin Sesi” THKP- Acilciler”, “Devrimci Sol”, “Devrimci Yol”, “Partizan”, PKK, “Rizgare” and others, together with their Palestinian organizations comrades and revolutionary brothers of “Al-Jebhe Al-Falastiniye” (Mouhamad Abbas and Talaat Yaacoub), FATH (Yaser Arafat, Emin al-Hindi and Abou Ayad), “Al Jebha Al Demokratiye”, (Nayeh Hawatmeh), Al jabhe Al shaabiyeh ( George Habash) Jebhat Al Nidal (Samir Ghoshe) Continued on the struggle with Kurdish legendary leaders Ocalan and Talibani, Tunisian (Hezb Al Shaab Al-Tounizi) the French Anarchist (action direct), boarder- Mainhof (Andreias Boarder and Ulrice Mainhaff), turn Italism fascilty, Armenian ASALA and “Western Armenia Liberation Front” were all in Beirut… also, all kind of Turkish MIT spies, CIA, KGB, DST, MOSSAD and of course the Syrian, Egyptian Tunisian, Algerian intelligence agents trying to gather as much information as possible, as the above mentioned revolutionary organization organized military operations against the fascist Turkish state, the bloody Zionist- racist butchers and their representative offices on this planet, organizing demonstrations conferences, protest meetings in London, Paris, Stockholm, Vienna, Geneva, Istanbul, Beirut, Damascus, Algeria…

The presence of the Turkish progressive and revolutionary political parties with their Kurdish and Armenian comrades, mostly in the ranks of the Palestinian revolutionary and the Lebanese Patriotic movement, ended after the Israeli aggression and occupation of Lebanon on the 5th of June 1982. Most of the prominent personalities that I had met during those glorious short period of time, either was killed or arrested by the Israeli army in South Lebanon, others deported from Beirut with the Palestinian armed forces to Syria or Egypt, after years, returning to Turkey or forever becoming political exiles In Europe or America, becoming famed intellectual pillars, historians, writers, lecturers in famous universities. Fortunately, after being heavily wounded on the 11th of May 1982 in Beirut I was flown to a hospital in Romania, the Black sea resort of Eforie Nord, and followed all the horrible events
